What a treat to have Pat Hutchins stop by on Thursday. Pat lives in London, but was spending a week visiting friends in Manhattan and Long Island. She brought along the sketches and text for a new picture book, and we couldn’t be more excited. Pat’s illustrious career includes such classics as Don’t Forget the Bacon!, Good-Night Owl!, and Rosie’s Walk.
Her series of books about Titch were adapted into a delightful animated series. Though it never aired in the U.S., you can watch it in Spanish on YouTube. (You don’t need to speak Spanish to enjoy the episodes.)

I am excited to hear news about Pat Hutchins! As a kindergarten teacher I love using her books but have been unable to locate any current information for her since her website was taken down in 2008.
